Sport Across Staffordshire Sports Partnership

A 'live' case study on how one County Sports Partnership is making the transition from being focussed on Active Sports to a wider role

Background

The Sport Across Staffordshire is an averaged sized County Sports Partnership, situated in the middle of England with a sound record of delivering the Active Sports Programme and a sound basis of partnership working. It is one of 45 Sports Partnerships covering the whole of England. It is also one of many exploring the opportunity of taking on a wider role.

This case study will track the progress being made and the issues being faced.

The Staffordshire Leisure and Cultural Officers Forum are in the middle of two workshops to consider the future direction of its Partnership and how best to approach this next phase of its development. In parallel Sports Development Officers throughout the County have held a review workshop and have agreed key recommendations for the Forum to consider. The outcome of these discussions is likely to be known at the end of January 2004.

Case Study

Details of this study will be posted on our learning zone from February 2004 when the approach to the work is known.
